Speaker - Paul Amos (The Redeemed)
Paul S. Amos II founded The Redeemed in the spring of 2020 with a clear mission: to build a Christ-centered community where men can break free from the struggles that hold them back, grow in authentic relationships, and strengthen their walk with God while navigating life’s challenges. Born out of his own journey of faith and redemption, The Redeemed exists to provide a safe place for men to be known, encouraged, and equipped for lasting transformation.
In addition to his work with the ministry, Amos is a Director of Covey Equity, which is a private capital partner that focuses on the long-term acquisition of niche industrial businesses. Prior to joining Covey in 2017, Amos served as the president of Aflac, the largest provider of supplemental insurance in the United States and the leading provider of medical and cancer insurance in Japan. From 2013-2017, Amos directed Aflac Japan, which is Aflac’s largest earnings contributor, and generates more than 75 percent of the company’s income. From 2005-2013, Amos served as President and COO of Aflac U.S.
Amos earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Duke University, a MBA from Emory University and a JD from Tulane University. Amos serves on the board of Duke University’s Center for Leadership and Ethics, he is a Director Emeritus of Duke University’s Divinity School Board of Visitors, he serves on the Board of the Turner College School of Business at Columbus State University, and he is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).
Amos is an active member of the Church of the Highlands, which is based in Birmingham, AL. Amos is married to Courtney, and they have four children, Dan, Mansell, Knox and Eden.
